To be honest, my heart is so heavy right now. I appreciated and hated how realistic it was. Like, I guess that was sorta always the point of Bojack though? As crazy as it could get it was always grounded by reality.
Like everything that happened to Bojack is realistic and valid, but I hated how cold even his closest friends got. Like I could physically feel Bojack trying to cling on to his connection with people.
The whole thing with hollyhock fucked me up. And they didnāt even get to talk about it face to face. Like, I know it probably wouldnāt have made a difference but thatās just life right?
And with Diane, how this is going to be the last time they talk to each other. Maybe the writers were hinting about how the series is over so itās literally the last time Diane and Bojack are going to talk to each other, but whoās going to talk to Bojack after he gets out of prison??
Also that whole thing with Bojack hinting that he might get back in the business, what was that about? And how PC went from agent mode and then became distant... Iām probably sleep deprived but can someone explain that to me. Cause like how PC suddenly became uncomfortable made me uncomfortable and how Bojack eagerly came back made me uncomfortable too... like is it implied that Bojack didnāt learn? And is Toddās speech implying that after you mess up you just gotta turn yourself around over and over?
Speaking of Todd he had such a weak character arc, like heās still top fav, but even Iām scratching my head over what a doof heās become. Like yeah heās always been goofy, but what about the Todd that put together the rock opera or the Todd that found out about Emily. Now itās all just random shenanigans... but maybe thatās what being in your 20s is all about? And you do the hokey pokey
Side note: Ruthie as a toddler running around at the wedding was peak cuteness, you donāt even gotta ship PCJ, but you gotta admit long haired Judah is snack and that song made ur heart skip for PC. The pool scene. Oh, and PB picking up his phone and saying āoh pickles and I are broken up foreverā so they can throw away that arc was peak comedy.
This is sleepless ramblings, my bad. TL;DR everything made sense and I hate that, but it was not a bad season
