N55 valvetronic fault.

Getting a implausible signal fault. The car still runs fine but has a CEL. I suspect the throttle body is being used as a back up. ISTA suggested ohm testing the harness which was okay. Performed run in successfully but code will return while driving. Suspect bad actuator but ISTA is flagging the fact that the fault sets when battery voltage at the relay terminal is 11.9 volts. Anyone see issues with the power supply assembly under the cowl (it houses the VT relay)?
