tips for rolling blunt using a cigar

Family just got back from the Philippines and gifted me a few cigars. Any tips on how I should go about this? Should I unroll it like a Backwood or just slice it down the middle like a cigarillo? And will saliva work or should I use a cigar glue to reseal it? If it goes well enough I'll post the outcome.
