The writing style of this episode was like a Dennis Villeneuve movie. I drew incorrect parallels between the folklore and the storyline, and was definitely not expecting that to be the premise of Mizu’s backstory. It was perfectly executed I think. Saying a story in such a complicated manner is an ambitious effort. I loved the show overall, but this was my favorite episode from every aspect. Mizu looked beautiful, we saw every emotion of hers in that one episode along with two captivating stories and artwork, and in the end drew conclusions justifying her to be her. This is an example of direction and story writing at its best.
Btw, who do we think snitched her out?
