I’m 21(F) and I’ve always been good at mechanics and just figuring out how to fix things. Right out of high school I wanted to go into heavy duty mechanics but didn’t know where to start. Ended up working in sales for the past 2 and a half years and at first I liked it but now I hate it. I already deal with sexual harassment and men’s comments daily since I work with all guys. The only thing I’m worried about is how to get started and if I will get looked down on just for being a woman. I’m not sure if I should go to school first or try getting an apprenticeship somewhere since where I live they will pay for your schooling. I’m just worried I won’t be able to get a job anywhere without experience. Any help is appreciated. (I live in Canada)
