I’m a second year plumbing apprentice. And my program is 5 years long. I’m a firm believer that time flys by. But I feel like I should know more that I do. I wasn’t really taking it’s serious and just trying to be a good apprentice. But I never really pushed or applied myself to do something in my life. And I do want to make a career out of it.
But I really want to learn more on my own at home. I mean like reading up on it and codes and such. I won’t get my code book until I’m a 4th year. I do go to school but we just sit in class out day all on our phones. We don’t get to work in the shop. I feel as though they should allow us to do such and we shouldn’t have to ask. Just makes going to school so boring. But I really want to take the serious and absorb. I learn and absorb at work but not as much as I would like.
Any other apprentices can relate or offer advice. I’ve got some YouTube vids I’ll start with but any advice with help.
