preview scene stuck

so every time I open up blockbench it opens with the nether preview scene. It doesn't change to a different scene unless I do it manually. So whenever I close blockbench and re-open it all my models have this preview scene. How do I fix this, I've tried to uninstall and reinstall blockbench.
