So my father is blind not completely but basically completely. He also has ataxia which means that his motor functions are impaired.
That basically leaves out anything he has to physically interact with that doesn’t have giant buttons.
We’ve placed little rubber nubs on the remote so that he can use it. And we’ve got the house set up for him to be fine.
I was hoping that this community might be able to come up with a few suggestions for things that will make life easier. Not mobility aids per say we have that kind of thing as set up as it can be.
What he really misses is the ability to interact with the Internet. It has been really hard for him because he can’t use braille and he can’t type. It all has to be audio essentially. I saw the orcam II and decided to Reddit search and found y’all so I help there might be some good suggestions.
Anything you can think of would be very appreciated.
Spit ball away!!!
