Dreaming. Fully sighted again.
Post Body

Hello everyone, I’m 33 and up until three years ago I was fully sighted.

Long story short. Diabetes = floaters floaters = surgery surgery = no vision in left eye 20/1300 right eye central vision only.

Anyway, I’m saying all of this to ask if anyone else who has had full sight or just better sight than what you currently have has fallen into the trap of sleeping more to chase your dreams, where the vision is better/returned.

I went through a period of time just recently where I was sleeping 12 hours or more because I was depressed. In that time I discovered I was sleeping more with the actual intent to try and dream in full sight.

It’s such a double edged sword, because I dreamed, vividly and quite often remember my dreams very detailed. So it was great until I realized again that my vision is gone. So I was almost causing myself to re-grieve the loss of my sight.

I just found it interesting. Dangerous, depressing and overall curious on if anyone else has struggled with this in the past.

I am happy to report that I’m no longer chasing dreams, but it was an interesting time so I thought to bring it up.

Anyway thanks for listening/ allowing me to ramble.
