The limit pre-Crisanta (since the eight mandatory boss is either Quirce or Expósito) is to have given him any of the items. While the achievement does require you to ace the quest, the knot is only missable if he dies.

No, it's well documented: if you kill two main game bosses after you first enter Where Olive Trees Wither, he's dead. Which translates to killing Our Lady and going then to him (upon release it was glitched), but there's no time limit at any point.

To call it a timer is a bit misleading. You can take as long as you want, these two events just tick with any of the trio bosses.
