The Veredicto feels great to use, what’s your starter weapon?

I’m enjoying the game and I feel that going with the Veredicto as a starter weapon was a good choice.
Veredicto is powerful, but slow. The weapon compensates for that though by hitting twice in one swing, so that slowness isn’t really a problem.
Additionally, enemies stagger more easily with the Veredicto giving you more opportunities for critical attacks?
It’s also the most unique looking weapon of the bunch, because it’s essentially a huge flail in the form of an incense burner. So cool!
