Just got back from blacks - first time impressions
Post Body

I went to blacks around 10 and just got back. Some observations from a nudist from a different state (TX).

Pros: 1. Lots of space, even though it was July 4th I had no problems finding a space. That goes for parking and for putting my towel down. 2. It appears everyone appears to respect the nudist code. No “activity” going on.
3. Beach is clean - no trash found. 4. Real sandy beach - I’m from Austin and hippie hollow only has limestone ledges and rocks - so this was a big improvement.

Cons: 1. The walk down and back up was a lot more than I anticipated but somebody warned me. I opted to leave a little early because I didn’t want to climb the stairs in the heat of the day but wow they were challenging for this middle age man. I used to think the 60’ height of the cliffs and the 30’ entrance steps were high at hippie hollow but now I’ll appreciate just how close the lake is when I return. How high is that cliff? 500’? At least I got 13,000 steps in for this. 2. No restroom facilities on the beach area. I guess everyone pees in the water? But it would be nice to at least have a portapotty if you ever have to go #2. 3. No trash cans along the beach so you have to pack it in and out. So by around 1:00 I had so many wrappers and a Trader Joe’s salad container and I really wanted to throw it away but I had to wait until the top. I guess I’m just used to all the trash receptacles at hippie hollow. 4. It appears the beach is divided into “areas” as well. I didn’t realize this at first until I walked the whole beach and back. Hippie hollow is even more subdivided so I was hoping to see it differently here but it’s the same.

My biggest surprise was that hardly any people in San Diego have tattoos - everyone in Austin does. No issues with it, but kind of surprised. Kids were there too which I was surprised at first but then I remembered hippie hollow used to allow kids until the legislators made it 18 . Which is why I think HH has more “activity”.

Overall I think blacks beach is more of a naturist/naturalist/nudist park than hippie hollow is. HH is just so more sexually charged for whatever reason and that has its own risks.

If you’ve been to both I’d like to hear your comments.
