The past year has been witness to a fast and massive rise in the number of gamers who have taken to youtube and twitch to show off their run and gun skills. While Fortnite always had a following that was significant, the arrival of Blackout changed the game (pun) forever. Players of all caliber, ethnicity and age have been entertained and some have learned by watching these players. Personally, I have come to enjoy several players, including DougisRaw, Speros, Bobbypoff, Nacho, and Tee Pee. These players, and others have benefited from this explosion as well. Their subscriber numbers have doubled and tripled, while Speros is leading the way with more than 150k. The monetary gains and the boost to their egos is putting these players in a league of their own. This momentum though isnt invulnerable. While these players all contribute their success to their skill and the mode blackout they must he concerned with the upcoming release of Modern warfare. Yes, we are all excited to play the new game and experience the new guns and maps, multiplayer has never been a big draw for streamers. People, for some reason, dont like to watch others play MP and other team based modes.there are of course exceptions to this (maybe you love this) but history says most people dont. So what will these streamers do now? Speros moved to LA and started a new life that he wants streaming to support. I hope he finds happiness and success and that he continues to do what he loves. Ultimately, I'm curious to the impact that MW will have on streamers and those who love to watch them. Are you one of those people? Will you continue even after BR is gone and it's back to team based modes? Or will streaming die as quick as it blew up?
