Can I use Multiple Medicines at the same time?...

or does does one cancel another?
Struggling with a boss and I'm wondering if I use Tiger Subduing Pellets (for increased outgoing damage) AND Evil Repelling Medicament (reduce incoming damage) one after the other, will they both be active at the same time or will the second one cancel out the first?
I only use Medecines in Boss Fights if I need to and I'm at that point where I'm thinking of doing multiples as opposed to just one or another. Lol
