In reading about Elijah McClain's death, one of the most frustrating elements is the autopsy report coming back with an "undetermined" cause of death. It said: the causeĀ was āundetermined,ā and that it could have been a result of naturalĀ causes, a homicide related to the carotid hold, or an accident. How could "the result of natural causes" even be an option? Shouldn't the cause of death be "homicide" regardless of it it was due to the cartoid hold or the ketamine?
It would be difficult for a jury to convict with such misleading information in the autopsy report . How can we put more pressure on institutions that help the police subvert justice in cases like this? These coroners should be held accountable for their incorrect autopsy findings.
