Hey y’all. Do full ride scholarships typically cover only tuition or your entire COA cost? So for example if Columbia tuition is $78k/year, but estimated COA is $118k/year, would I have to take out $40k/year in loans to cover the remainder? Do people who have gotten full ride scholarships in the past have loan debt? Thanks :)

full rides usually only cover tuition and a handful of schools may give out stipends to help with living expenses (the rest of the CoA). so yes you can have a full ride to a school and still have to take out loans unfortunately
