For those hopeless, jaded, cynical, or in-between about the casual encounter/dating landscape, what are you up to? I'm interested in your stories.
Queer/gay men and other members, are you looking only for other skinfolks or non-Whites as well?
I find myself turned off from everything U.S related. I used to be exclusively into Black (including mixed with Black) men. However, it made me feel the same way as considering other races, if not even worse, over the years. I used to be in denial about it, hoping it would improve with time.
I guess I was naive for thinking so, which led me to consider other avenues. I don't know where. In person events for queer/gay men (focused on Blacks and non-Whites) in my area are two hours and more away. It is the same thing with a handful of Black, as well as Mestizo men, I clicked with.
I find it ironic living in a suburb with many Black people, but encountering the same and worst hindrances as though I was only surrounded with Mestizos/Mestizas, Asians, and Whites. All of which have been explained in my previous posts.
If you were at crossroads and foresaw yourself growing older, would you forsake casual encounters/dating in the states, still give it a chance, or consider searching abroad? Would language barriers prevent you from seeking outside the U.S borders?
