It’s been a little over a year since my last relationship. While I’ve tried the apps and speed dating, it seems that no one ever sticks. And lately, I have been feeling so frustrated and powerless every time a friend or mentor tells me “love will find you when you aren’t looking for it” or “you just need to focus on yourself.”
If anyone has any advice on how you got out of this “jaded valley,” I’d greatly appreciate it. I feel really down bad every time someone asks me, “how’s your dating life?” At this point, I just give them a blank stare and try to change the subject so that I avoid the traditional responses I mentioned above.
