Lately, I've been seeing a lot of the same types of posts asking people to make a determination as to what their hair type might be.
It's great that you want to take the first step towards taking better care of your hair! It's a wonderful thing, and there are so many great resources available to you.
I know you want to show us your amazing hair, but we cannot tell your hair type from a poorly lit, out of focus, or any other type photo...No, not even the photos with two strands of your hair on a piece of toilet paper. It's far too difficult. However, you know your hair best, so you are the best person to figure that out.
I would start your journey with Google! A little research (or a quick Google search) goes a long way and there are so many great resources out there on Black hair.
One great resource would be the Naturally Curly website. Naturally Curly has an awesome hair texture quiz that you can go through to figure out how your hair works, and to find out what products may or may not work for you!
Figuring out your hair type is a very personal and individual process. You may find that you have the same type of hair as someone, but you and the other person could have totally different types of hair porosity. The differences in porosity would mean different products or processes work best on you versus the other person, despite having the same or similar hair types. Or you could discover that you have more than one single hair type!
It's a wonderful process and journey with hair. Good luck and remember to use the resources above!
