jsut want to start by saing, go wild, i wont get offended i need honest answers
so i have type 2c to 3a hair depending on the care ive done that week, and ive been growing it out recently, ive been thinking about getting braids.
now my grandma used to braid my hair when i was 7-8 and she would always say it helped keep my hair healthy.
my hair is quite thick and i never had scalp issues when it was braided, so im wondering if i should get it braided again, to see how it looks, my main concerns are these;
i am white skinned, despite my lineage, so could this be seen as offensive or appropriation, i dont mean to offend or appropriate, im just trying out hairstyles
and are there any styles youd reccomend if im not looking to get a fade on the back and sides.
my grandma always said how im the only one of her kids to ger her nigerian hair, so thats why she braided it, to "keep it safe and beautiful darling"
please remove if not allowed here but im genuinely unsure and dont want to inadvertantly offend someone or make someone uncomfortable
many thanks,
