I’m not sure what happens to magic knights when they hit middle age because there just don’t appear to be any?

I would have sworn characters like Valtos, En, Rades would all be at least 40 (I mean for real En acts like a doddering old man he’s 24). But come to find out they’re 25, 24 and 21 respectively.

Julius is 42 and gets called an old man by like everyone.

I assume it’s like sports and it’s a young people’s thing to be in the magic knights (like how Tom Brady is 45 and is considered ancient for the sport). Which leads to another question—wonder what happens to magic knights when they get older than like 35. Given I could be wrong but I don’t think we’ve seen any. Captains are older but seemingly not by much staying between 19-32 except Kaiser who was asked to take helm of the purple orcas back presumably after retirement from Poizot.
