How do you go about getting precise metering in Bitwig?

So far I've been using the Tool device, but I'm struggling with it. I think because the meter is so small, and also because it doesn't show a literal number value (i.e. 20) in the GUI, that it's hard for me to be sure what the volume is.
Does anyone have any ideas for this, or am I potentially looking at this wrong?
