I'll try and explain what I'm trying to do (basically it's a bit like how some plugins work with their MIDI mode i.e. Stutter Edit). FYI In a sense what I'm doing is very similar to having gated automation, but this is just a lot easier/convenient in some respects, albeit less flexible)

Essentially I have an audio vocal track that I want to apply FX to. The way I want to do this, is through MIDI notes. So whatever midi notes I press, will enable different FX. The way I envision it, is that I have a separate MIDI track that is somehow configured to enable certain FX plugins on the audio track.

Would anyone have any advice on how to achieve this?
