Can I mine with an older machine and just get less output or do I need to have dedicated hardware?
Post Body

I'm just learning what mining is and I'm definitely interested. Unfortunately the only machine I have is a mid-2009 Macbook Pro. To my understanding, this is less than an ideal machine. What I'm unclear of is if I still can/ should mine, or if it is worth it. Given my weaker hardware I don't expect to do any heavy mining, but if I can even do something minimal, I'd be interested.

My question is if I can mine at all or if it's worth it. I apologize if this is a very noob-ish question, like I said I'm new to the concept. Any information on if it's worth it for me to mine/ resources would be appreciated.

Thanks!
