Access an online Bitcoin wallet on iPhone [without jailbreaking]

Post Body

As I had mentioned on the bitcoin forums the other day, Blockchain.info used to have a great app with a built-in wallet and would sync extremely fast due to the resource power being done on their servers. The site is already reputable so this was just an added perk. You can even import your wallet like I did or start a new one.

The problem was that Apple wanted to whine about it having an online wallet so they won't allow it anymore. Because of this, I decided to write a basic "Web App" wrapper for the Blockchain mobile site so you can access it similar to an app and without fighting with Safari. I, of course, also offered the source code on the post as well for learning purposes and as a bit of ethic to show I'm not faking it.

What's the difference between a web app and a mobile site? From what I've seen, a mobile site only runs in a browser, such as Safari on the iPhone, and it functions like a normal website but cut down on content or sped up for mobile devices. A web app is different as it has special meta tags and other code that allows an iPhone (or web app enabled devices) to save information about the web page to be loaded and displayed similar to how they display a native app. For the iPhone, this allows the page to be loaded with or without a splash screen, removal of the Safari navigation bars as well as not being shown in the Safari app to begin with. Certain links will trigger Safari to open, however the rest will function like it is a part of the 'app'.

I hope you guys enjoy it! I'm kind of proud of how it turned out.. I only regret that if you leave the app (like to respond to a text message) then switch back, it will reload the login page. But I guess that will at least enforce security..

Edit: Nevermind! Apparently mannkind was badass enough as to explain that you have to wait and do a certain set up steps to access your wallet. Sir, hats off to you for saving me a ton of time and just being awesome in general! For anyone still interested, you can still use the link or the source files and learn how this can be done with this or any other web wallet.
