Obviously a newbie here, but hear me out.
Why are people flexing they are HODLING and not taking profits before it halves and inevitably drops? There isn’t a benefit to HODLing in this case.
Secondly, People are always shitting on others for selling and fiat, but isn’t that what everyone does eventually? I see a lot of posts calling people a moron for selling, but then they mention how they will be retiring off it in 20 years. Oh, like cashin out in fiat?!
It’s confusing how people continually default to fiat.
I think all money systems are a scam. The dollar, gold, diamonds. It’s only driven by demand or reliance. No inherent worth.
Is anyone holding BTC forever? And PAYING in BTC?
Not sure how this can be a currency when so few people own it.
To me it’s like deciding Monopoly money is real and making it finite. We put fiat in to get a paper bill and then they took HALF the Monopoly money away. Now we are grateful we have a bill.
But isn’t this the same system as always? What keeps the worth there?
Anyway, if anyone can provide answers to this I’d love to hear.
I’ve only been in since 2021, but like with every financial thing I do I can get over what a little scam it all is. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. I just mean that in “this is a game, but I’ll play”
