Item Drop Rates by D#

So I've been playing for less than a week but somehow took me this long to notice that D1/2/3 have different base item drop bonuses, 0/50/100% respectively.
Because of this you get total drop rates of

| D2 | 150% | 300% | 450% |
| D3 | 200% | 350% | 500% |
or per NRG:

| D1 | 10 | 12.5 | 13.3 |
| D2 | 15 | 15 | 15 |
| D3 | 20 | 17.5 | 16.7 |
So seems like its better to run Heroic only on D1 and Normal if you're running D3, this make sense or am I missing something? All the other rates seem equal. I guess the difference would be if there's higher chances of better chests/Gobbys in higher ranks.
