This morning marks the third time that a guy I was with started crying while we were together. Not during sex, but after. No! I'm not that bad. But, I do enjoy being intimate with men, not just fucking. I'm a nurturer by default, so it's important for me for the person I'm with to be comfortable and relaxed. (Unless they ask for the opposite.) I'm flattered that they feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable and let it out, but it makes me wonder what their other experiences have been like, that being with me is so different. I get "manning up" with women (still rediculous), but why can't we relax with other guys? Are we that worried about not being man enough, or perpetuating this alpha bullshit?
The guy this morning said he likes to bottom, but is careful not to "be a little bitch," meaning letting himself be in a position of weakness. But he loves to lie on his back and receive pleasure. I said there was nothing weak about it. I explained that I was fucking him for his pleasure, not just mine. There's nothing subservient about someone else pleasuring you.
Guys! We have to take better care of each other and let others take care of us. Enough with the bullshit power dynamics. (Unless that's the point.)
The best part about being with another guy is that he gets it. He's been there. There's no reason to maintain a facade.
Let's do better
I love this post. Thank you.
