Looking to move…and for a unicorn location

I’m looking to move to Birmingham within the next year and a half. I’m 32 and I have a daughter who will be going into 10th grade at that time. I enjoy a lively music and art scene, but I need a good high school for my daughter as well. What areas would you recommend where the housing is around $400K or less, is walkable, and has good schools? Thanks for any recommendations!
