Event planner/trade show planner type of jobs in the area
Post Body

I've recently moved to Birmingham for work and my girlfriend would like to follow when she can find a good job here. She's currently working as an event planner/trade show coordinator for a company that specializes in advertising for different companies and industries. I know she works with a lot that deal with aircraft and high end parts and customization. Some others are police agencies, some different other ones I can't recall off the top of my head. I'll ask her and comment below. Her primary functions are planning the logistics for their large events; ordering things for the booth, catering, booth set up and removal, and just generally making sure things go smoothly at the events. She also has experience in the marketing and advertising side of things. She also writes press releases. She has her bachelors degree in marketing/advertising. She has experience working with wedding coordination and hotel convention type stuff.

She just finished up working the National Business Aviation Convention. Over 25,000 people attend annually and it's the sixth largest trade show in the country. https://www.nbaa.org/events/bace/2016/

She has started using Indeed and doing some research but I was wondering if anybody could maybe point me towards some information that might be helpful to her. Thanks so much for the help!
