Update 2: I can’t thank y’all enough for taking all those sandwiches off my hands. I’m glad they were able to go to hungry mouths. =) Thank you to everyone here, whether you were able to stop by or just had some feedback to give. Met some pretty dope people today btw. Y’all are a dope bunch. 😎
Update: I have 20 sandwiches left. They are pick-up only and first come first serve.
Hello everyone! I wanna thank all the people who stopped by yesterday! It was really nice and quite surreal to meet so many of you in person after all this time. =)
Sadly, there was a miscommunication regarding my location yesterday. I had been given the impression that there would be 150 runners finishing their run at Trak Shak. That’s the info that was conveyed to me, and that’s why I chose to set up at that location. Unfortunately, once we saw the runners round the corner, we also saw them run right past us and back out of site. Turns out the finish line was somewhere else.
Suffice to say, that while I enjoyed meeting people yesterday and being able to tell them about this business, I honestly wasn’t able to sell a whole lot since the crux of my sales were predicated on a large group of people that I didn’t know would run right past me. 🥲
I don’t have a location for today, but I have probably about 100 sandwiches left over. At this point, I’m just looking to give them away. I’d rather them go to a hungry mouth than a hungry dumpster lol. Also, I feel like this would allow more people a chance to try our products before our next pop-up date. Never been a better time to try a Phoebe & Jay’s sandwich for free 🤷♂️ lol.
You could either swing by my place and scoop up some free sandwiches, or if there’s a central spot near the highland park area, I could go hang out there later today with my sandwich bags and just hand them out until they’re gone.
I just don’t wanna throw away food when I know that someone somewhere could use a meal.
Hopefully we’ll avoid any issues with miscommunication at future locations so that we can secure a spot that will yield the foot traffic we’re expecting. Even though we missed our intended crowd, I still wanna extend a huge thank you to Trak Shak for allowing us to set up outside their storefront in Homewood! Please hit them up for all your running needs!
But yeah, if you want some free, quality nut butter/jam sandwiches, feel free to stop by (I can send my address via chat).
Hope y’all have a wonderful Sunday! =)
