Why is my power bill $150 when I live alone and only really use the a/c and lights?

Post Body

This is my first time having central air. Am I just using too much? I only have it running long enough to heat the place up if it’s cold or cool it down if it’s warm. And I always shut it off before leaving and always turn my lights off.

I’ve had <$50 power bills before, so why is this one so high?

I’m genuinely confused..

Edit: This is my first actual power bill in bham that isn’t a ‘activation fee and deposit’ bill. Moved in January fifth I think.
