I’m the guy who posted last night about finding a place to sleep in my car. First, I can’t thank this community enough for the absolute wealth of responses and offers of hospitality that I’ve received. It was something profound to behold, truly..

Needless to say, I have confidence in being able to sleep here or there for the time being. But, my main concern is of course getting my own place and I found the absolute perfect place yesterday.

I have the money required for rent and deposits, but the only hangup right now is being able to show proof of sufficient income.

I’m trying to fast-track a job, but formalities naturally cause things to go slower than desired. I get that I’m not special and that things will work out as they’re meant to, but I feel it’s my duty to try and be as proactive as possible about gaining employment as soon as possible.

The rent will be $885 and they require proof of income for 3x that. So I’ll need a job that pays at least $2,665/month. Counting bills and groceries, I’ll need a job that pays $18-19 /hr. And I’m available to start tomorrow, even today if need be.

I just want to hurry up and secure a job so I can make sure that I don’t lose this apt to another applicant.

Again, I understand things may not work out with this apt, but I’m doing everything I can to try and get a job asap so I can get this apt. The apt is also perfectly suited for helping me start my business idea once my finances are settled.

The only job I’m not really suited for is construction. Other than that, I’d be happy to take up just about any job that would pay what I’d need and that I could start AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Update: got a job at Dave’s Pizza and I start Saturday. I may need to get a second job (part-time) to potentially qualify for the place I’m looking at, but things seems to be looking up a bit. Thank you all for your comments and help. I’d be 100 steps behind if not for y’all and this community. Thank you!
