I’m trying to move to the bham area and I quickly found that while single apartments can be affordable, you wouldn’t be left with much money to work with after.

I’m not really a fan of having a roommate tbh, but I feel that’s the only way I can get a decent place in bham and still have some money to work with. I’m trying to put a business together and I just won’t be able to do that if I have to pay for an entire place myself.

I’ve heard nightmares about roommates and I’m trying to avoid all that crap to be perfectly honest.

I keep to myself. I clean. I practice good hygiene. I’m not loud. I’m not the type of roommate you would worry about; I’m just trying to avoid that very type myself.

I’m a guy, but I don’t mind living with a guy or a girl. But if you are a guy, please be in line with everything from the previous paragraph and don’t be some macho/alpha type.

I’m happy splitting a place with a rent up to $1,600/month, but id prefer something closer to $1,200-1,400. Just trying to find some place that isn’t dingy and it’s not in a bad area.

I also prefer a top-floor unit. I’ve had too many “stompy” upstairs neighbors in the past for me to want to suffer that again.
