Birko Flor?

I've had several pairs of birks, but I don't think I've ever had a birko-flor pair. I'm deciding on a new pair of black Arizona's, either in the birko-flor upper or leather. Can anyone speak to the pros/cons of both materials? I tend to be really hard on my shoes, if that helps.
