For the better of course!

Background is that I've been wearing this brand for ~30 years. I've always bought EU 45 (Regular/Normal). Always stuck with Arizona.

A couple of years ago, I decided to stop overthinking what looks feminine, what looks manly, and just decided to expand beyond Arizona.

Note: I am a true US 12 in all brands of sneakers and dress shoes.

Since I like my flip-flops (e.g.: Havaiana, Reef, etc...) to fit about 1-2 sizes big (personal preference), when I decided to purchase a pair of Madrid, I wanted the same fit and feel so I went with a EU 46 (Regular/Normal). And they felt and still feel great! So then I bought a pair of Arizona in EU 46 (Regular/Normal) and they also feel amazing!

This subreddit and the Birkenstock company sizing video advocate for 5-10mm in the front/back for the appropriate roomy fit.

So now I am left with the following thoughts and questions:

1) Did I wear the wrong (too small) size (45 R/N) Birkenstocks for 28 years?

2) Am I a true EU 46 (Reg/Norm) in Birkenstock?

3) Are all pairs of my EU 45 (Reg/Norm) basically resell/give-away/donate/discard?

4) After alternating from 45 to 46 to 45, I find that the 45 are more fitted, less roomy, and my toes occasionally hit the front edge at times.

5) I posted these photos of my fav (Mayari) in a EU 45 (Reg/Norm) for a fit check that will help me determine what to do with all my 45s 😅.

Thoughts?
