Soft footbed, yay or nay?

For my current pair of Arizonas, I purchased the soft footbed version without realizing it. Figured, no biggie, I'll try them out. But holy hell am I having early Burkdeath!! Has anyone else had a similar experience or other noteworthy observations on the soft vs regular footbed?
