Hi all! 2X here with a 27M borderpolar (borderline AND bipolar) fiancee. I've been firm on "medication will be your choice unless you can't take care of yourself anymore." I'm actually quite proud to say this - he made the choice on his own to go speak with a psychiatrist and get on medication! Very proud of him. He's prescribed a beta blocker, antidepressant, and antipsychotic. Won't say the exact names for his privacy of course.
Anyway - I wanted to get everyone's advice (along with his!) on how I can be a supportive partner when it comes to his medication. What are some common "gotchas" and common courtesies for this? How can I help him without being overly controlling? Any and all advice is appreciated. It's a new chapter for us all! โค๏ธ๐งก๐
