My wife's bipolar is honestly the least of her health issues. She cycles quickly, is medicated, and usually retains a sense of self.
Cut to this moment, a meltdown in the ER waiting room because her symptoms don't sound urgent on paper. She needs to he admitted, but pregnant women and heart attack victims are flowing in and this hospital is understaffed since Covid
She's only snapping at me, but she's raised her voice a few times. If she snaps at the staff they will boot her and then shit gets real. Positive thoughts please.
Update: she started winding down once brought back. We're in a Catch-22 though. They want a stool sample, but she hasn't eaten in 24 hours; yet they don't want her to eat either.
Now, I know that a healthy GI tract can hold a few days worth, but her's is not and she's had a DN-Y, so the time for food to pass is quick.
I'm going to sneak in a caramel Frappuccino once they aren't looking. Wish me luck.
