Electric Shock Therapy

Has anyone done it? Does it work? Is it worth it? I've been swinging pretty violently the last few weeks and as soon as I get my insurance the 1st I have to get in and get it fixed. Fast. Before I'm unemployed. I know for severe cases like this its being done.... thoughts?
Edit: I didn't mean for everyone to take me so literally about being unemployed, of course there are far worse consequences for rapid cycling and extreme episodes.
