Misdiagnosed as bipolar
Post Body

My doctor thinks I'm bipolar. I was put on lamotrigine and other medication I can't recall. I had brain fog and couldn't follow conversations at work so I stopped taking the medication. I was then prescribed lithium and adco zolpidem and concerta. It has done nothing for me. I feel depressed and anxious.

Has anyone been misdiagnosed with either bipolar or depression and how did it feel? How do I tell my doctor? Please help.

With my doctor, I describe my symptoms, and they try to medicate those. Try to ask your doctor to take a more symptom based approach.
