My dad walked out on my Mum when I was a few months old. He was never an evil person, just never there. Haven't spoken to him properly for a few years now. Not hard to be better than him, so long as I put the bare minimum effort in with my personal relationships.

My Mum is my hero though. Worked hard to keep me and my older sister fed and clothed. Looked out for my undiagnosed chaotic self as a teen. Always been there for me and is super supportive and my best friend.

The hard part is worrying about letting her down whenever I do something stupid.
