Weird question, but anyone have experience going off Wellbutrin after multiple years on it? Struggling to adjust 5-6 weeks laterā€¦

Post Body

I figure if any group understands bodily systems it will be this group.

I was on Wellbutrin since 2020. Went off completely after a short taper 5-6 weeks ago. While my sleep has drastically improved (Fitbit score is like 15 points higher and my heartbeat isnā€™t spiking through night), my energy, motivation, focus, etc. all feels shot.

I know the easy answer is to say ā€œoh itā€™s depression returningā€ but I feel like thatā€™s an easy way to dismiss what may be discontinuation symptoms.

Iā€™ve asked several doctors how long it may take my receptors to upregulate and get this uncomfortable look each time, as if they have zero clue.

ChatGPT suggests 90 days but said given my age and length of time on it, it could take up to 6 months.

Iā€™ve tried to get off before but never seem to make it past 6-8 weeks because I do not seem to bounce back to my pre-Wellbutrin baseline.

Thank you!
