In the last year and a bit I got really into strength training. I carry a variety of things with me in my gym bag that I need at different points through my workout (lifting straps, my personal resistance bands, mini bands my gym doesn’t carry, water bottle, pre workout, was also planning on purchasing a barbell pad because I can never find them at my gym). Anyways, bringing my gym bag wasn’t an issue until recently, and now they have signs posted everywhere that no gym bags are allowed on the floor and they are enforcing the rule, at least for the time being.
I don’t want to be disrespectful to other gym members. Whenever I did bring my bag I always made sure it was not in anyone’s way, at least I tried my best to be very aware of this. But is bringing my gym bag really a worse alternative to having all my items strewn about on the floor beside me?
What other bags do people use at the gym that don’t seem to be an issue? I’ve seen some use drawstring bags or smaller backpacks so perhaps that’s a better option. I am open to other ideas if anyone has any!
