How I got out of bed ridden depression

Should note Iā€™m tapering off of benzos which is the worst withdrawal possible. The first two months I couldnā€™t do a thing. After that I found myself out of any routine, depressed, and completely hopeless. Everyday I just woke up and moved from couch to bed, paced back and forth, and watched the Weather channel as everything else was too scary. When my body normalized on the dosage I dropped (I was taking insane illegal dosages and dropped down to a prescribed dose), I felt my anxiety get a little better but I didnā€™t want to do anything.

Though in the past Iā€™ve tried Prozac 3 times with no luck, this time it had noticeable effects. The difference is, I force myself to meet my FitBit goals daily and even hourly. A week into daily cardio and I was getting up on time and living life which I havenā€™t done since before Covid.

Iā€™ve now been on Prozac 3 times with 3 different doctors. It worked excellently for me before, and then just didnā€™t the next times. I decided at my worst to just try again and to take it daily at the same time, exercise, and within 2 weeks I was feeling much better. The Prozac or SSRI feel when it works is very ā€œzombieā€ like as people say, but thatā€™s a welcome thing to me. In the past when they have worked and this time, it feels as though all of the neurosis are still there but thereā€™s distance between me and them. Iā€™m still anxious all of the time, but it doesent impact me as much.

Im not trying to say Prozac is a bio hack but Iā€™ve noticed a trend that it works much better when you introduce exercise as well. I was exercising before and it would actually make my anxiety worse and then Iā€™d crash, now it truly feels like a weapon destroying my depression. As much as the studies show Prozac and a placebo are no different, Iā€™m convinced from experience that it does work and is more effective with exercise.

Just random input with my experience. Nothing much here!
