What are the downsides of taking metformin? I have been prescribed it for PCOS and lost my extra weight and look hotter than ever. I'm spooked.

Title. It can't be this good and have no side effects, right? Is there an insulin resistance drug/herb/supplement I can use that can have similar benefits but is more "natural"/safer?
