Post Body

I used to be a meth addict for about a couple of years 19-24 (I’m 28 now) and I take a lot of meds as of now

I take Concerta 72 mg

Tetrabenazine - (25mg) 1 tablet 3 times a day

Vistaril (25mg)2 times a day as needed

Olanzapine one in the morning one and a half tablets at night 5 mg

Propranolol 3 tablets 2 times a day

Guanfacine 3 tablets by mouth in the evening

Effexor 75 mg at night

Mirtazapine 45 mg at night

Im looking for a job as of now and my psychiatrist said that she doesn’t want to switch anything because she says Effexor is hard to adjust from, in what way should I talk to her to let her know it’s a little too much or do I keep taking as is?

I have a tremor and tic is which why I take tetrabenazine

She doesn’t want to let me have access to stuff like Focalin or any of the other meds because of my meth addiction history

Is there a way I can talk to her more serious and open doors to better meds?

Im currently looking for a job and I feel like ima need the extra energy what medications help with energy? I feel like Effexor leaves me groggy and sleepy in the morning. My appointment is coming this October on the 22 so I’d like to get input from people on what to do

What kind of meds would help with steady energy? I feel like ima need a little help from my psychiatrist this time around , I’m going to be participating in workshops to try and get a job and I wanna be alert and focused so that I really learn what I have too

Before I recieved tetrabenazine I wanted to try baclofen but she said no, how hard is it for someone to get meds like these?

Any recommendations on what you would do different would be cool, sometimes all these meds can be a hassle remembering to take them and what not Any recommendations on how i should talk to my doctor would be cool

I have anxiety problems and I take Concerta for meth cravings and ADHD at the same time

What changes would you make for a bit more steady energy?
