Post Body

Recent blood tests reveal I have the following.

Low alkaline phosphatase High MCV Low RBC

I have a doctors appointment coming up but not for a few weeks and I think some of these things will take time to resolve. I’m a distance runner with a race in 6 ish weeks. I’ve been feeling a bit fatigued on some of my runs and I wonder if these markers have something to do with it. Ferritin was 40 which is considered normal but I think it should be closer to 50 this far out from race day as my training hasn’t peaked yet.

Internet suggested a host of supplements. I’m not great at taking pills so the fewer the better. I thought I would ask the most knowledgeable group about this and see what I should do now so race day goes better. And of course anything I should avoid ?
