I just read this article mentioning many studies about Thiamine (vitamin B1) https://lowtoxinforum.com/threads/mega-dose-thiamine-beyond-addressing-deficiency.44479/
I myself had good experiences with megadosing Thiamine HCl myself in a time where I was in a deep depression and suffered horribly bad mood, anxiety, lack of drive and all that. I almost felt hypomanic after some time. I don‘t know if this huge reduction/improvement of my depression and anxiety symptoms were too unnormal and I got off of it to check if it was the supplementing. It was.
The normal form is Thiamine HCl. I think many of you heard about Sulbutiamine, which is quite famous in the r/supplement and r/nootropics subs. There still are Benfotiamine and Allithiamine (TTFD) I think but maybe you know better.
I’d be very interested in different people‘s experiences with megadosing thiamine and taking different forms of thiamine.
Especially interested in the effects it had on your mental, so mood/depression, energy/drive/motivation, general anxiety but especially social anxiety/sociability/talkativeness and any other psychological effects.
If you want to share your experience please also add what form of thiamine, which brand and how high of a dose at how many times you took it. If you could describe the effects and how or what changes you noticed (and after how long after starting), I‘d be very thankful.
Best thanks!
