Hacks to rly reduce phone usage before bedtime?

Post Body

Hi,

I know there are tons of post why reduction of phone/screen time before bed is a great thing.

But no matter how hard I try, I can´t sustain a way to keep this habit.

Actually I use my phone as alarm clock and I use it as ebook reader. So I almost have to use it before bed to check whether my alarm is really set at the right time or to read something.

So I plan to go to the store to grab an old fashionend alarm clock. With this, I dont have to bring my phone to the bedroom but this thing will go off like a bomb, no more up ramping alarm noise of birds.

To use the phone not at all before bedtime I plan to go out for a 30 min walk before bedtime. After that I wanna do my journal 10 mins and then start with pre bed routine (tooth brushing etc.). With this I should be able to not have the urge to look at the phone or TV all the time in the evening.

What you think? do you have any useful tipps?

Do you use an old school alarm clock?
